Characters of The Pandemonium Stories

The characters are the driving force in all Pandemonium stories. The gamemaster presents an excuse for the characters to come together and gives the game a mood and some interesting plot complications, but it is the players who craft the stories. Each character is a multifaceted person with motivations, goals, loves, hates, hungers and fears. A person that comes alive when played and whose contributions help weave the beautiful tapestry that is the Pandemonium universe.

Character Creation Process

A character is born with an idea; a feeling the player wants to evoke, a facet of her personality she wants to explore, an interesting tidbit of history, a role needed by the story... Hey player, says the gamemaster, wanna be the new Tyrant? The character's concept is what is most important. Developing a history and personality, and a direction for the character's own personal story is much of the work of character creation. It's a creative process and everyone does it differently. Each game system is different in how they record and interpret a character onto paper. We focus on the bare bones of the character's physical and supernatural powers, social and mental aspects of the character are left strictly to roleplaying.
