Childe of Lady Rose's pet demonologist James Villiers, erstwhile impologist and professional toadie, Mortimer was until recently a mainstay of Rose's household. Following Mortimer's implication in both his sire's death and that of Lord Marcello's apprentice Loren... and his pivotal involvement in the revelation and destruction of the latest Eater plague, Rose gifted the new Tyrant with this, her most precious minion.

Mortimer was gifted to Lord Marcello. Marcello wisely did not trust such a gift and kept Mortimer locked in a dungeon for several years under observation. Recently Mortimer has been released to serve his new Master and has done so loyally and competently.
