II-B Disciplines For Use In Magic
There are several mental disciplines which are for use during casting, contesting or defending, they are; Augment Spell Forces, Sledgehammer, and Suck Soul. The first two of these disciplines are very difficult to learn, taking centuries of practice to operate correctly, and are only had by very old or very skilled mages. The last is a commonly found and had discipline which may be put to novel use by a mage.
II-B.1 Augment Spell Forces
Using this discipline you may spend points from your Psyche Pool to add to the Force of one of your spells or talismans when it is being contested. You may only use this ability when you are present for the contest bidding.
II-B.2 Sledgehammer
Using this discipline you may spend points from your Psyche Pool in a bidding against the Force of a spell, talisman, untriggered potion, magic item or totemic contract to bring it down. For its use see section IV.B.
II-B.3 Suck Soul
In order to use more Psyche points than your Psyche Maximum Total can contain while casting a spell, you may use this discipline to channel additional Psyche through your system. To apply Suck Soul in this way, you must have either willing or subdued "donators" available during the casting. If you do not understand this explanation, you may not use Suck Soul in this way.
