Runic School of Magic

The Runic Spell School encompases the following Subschools of magic:

Origins
I'm way too tired to think of some suitable flowery bullshit to put here.

Mechanics
The use of magical alphabets to create magical effects. First, you enchant the surface to be inscribed. Second (and most importantly) , you compose a "sentance" using the runes which describes what you want your magical thingie to do. Third, you inscribe the runes on the enchanted surface. The runes will "trap" magic into their pattern and will cause the desired effect to occur.

Requirements
To successfully cast any Runic spell, you must first consecrate the surface to be inscribed. Each Subschool within the Runic School has its own specific spell which must be used. You must also be familiar with the runic alphabet that you are using.

Spell Formula Standards
You may use any runic alphabet to cast runic spells.

The Runes of Spiral Mystery Subschool of Runic Magic

Origins
The ultimate origin of these bizzare-looking shapes is unknown. Flynn Giddach claims he ran across them while traveling in one of the backwater otherworlds he enjoys exploring. Washed up on a beach of purple sand, the bronze plates bearing the runes appeared, he says, to have already travelled long and far. With some help from the famous fey-ologist, Patric Woodruff, the meaning and use of the symbols was, at least partially, unpuzzled.

Mechanics
Just like any other Runic magic. You may use any surface to inscribe the runes upon, as long as it is consecrated first. Hardened clay works best, though. These runes are more of a pictographic language than an alphabet, so the rune combinations don't have to be complete sentances.

Requirements
To successfully cast any Runes of Spiral Mystery spell, you must first perform the following procedures:
