The Encyclopedia of Magikal Methods
A description of the different Spell Schools of MagicSo there I was in the Keystone, nibbling on a chocolate tart, minding my own business, when that bit-, uh my darling friend Jaime laid another one of her stupid compulsions on me. So now I must toil for your benefit, revealing my hard-won secrets and posting them for all to see.
Gather around all you plebes and wannabes and let us learn about the wonderful world of magikal methods.
Let me start with the basics (for those of you still trapped in your snail shells). Spells are divided into several catergories according to their theoretical basis; these catergories are called Schools. The Schools are then further divided into Subschools according to their cultural origins. Most Subschools will also fall into one of the two Fields of magic; either Intuitive or Formula. These two terms (which are much more accurately descriptive) replace the more commonly used terms of "Low" and "High" magic. (Terms which were, of course, coined by the practicioners of the "High" magic methods.)
