Gerald Nubian - Ghoul Servitor to Lady Sabine Birth Name: Gerald Nubian Current Use Name: Gerald DeLecroix Basic Facts Born in 1941 in New Mexico Released in to society in 1957 Ghoul henchman to Lady Sabine since 1961 Secret "mole" for government infiltration project Character Concept Gerald is the product of a long-term project designed to produce the ideal infiltrator into vampiric society. Through a breeding program and complex medical treatments, he is immune to some of the mental influences that vampires exert. (Some sort of psychic shield, and perhaps part of his brain has been altered/removed?) By training, he has the skills that make him a usefull henchman for a Vampire Lord. He is not at all aware of the truth of his origins. (Sucks to be a pawn.) Instead he remembers an idealic childhood in the suburbs. Timeline 1941 to 1957 - Secret Origins (age 0-16) Gerald knows nothing about this time or his true origins. 1941 to 1957 - Fake Origins (age 0-16) Gerald was raised in a normal suburban neighborhood in New Mexico. Gerald was a particularly gifted youth and earned the opportunity to graduate high school early and go away to college in California. 1957 to 1961 - College Days (age 16 to 20) Gerald did well in school, but had a hard time adjusting to the social scene. Gerald, although painfully responsible, desired freedom and adventure. He sought to establish a mentor relationship with his professor Matthew Heinrich. Matthew made Gerald a ghoul and convinced him to be loyal to Lord Max. 1961 - Graduation and Ghouldom (age 20) Gerald received a B.A. in English Literature from Berkeley University. Later that year Matthew introduced him to his future benefactor, Lady Sabine DeLecroix. She made him her ghoul. 1961 to present - Super Ghoul At the start of the war, Gerry was just starting to become consciously aware of the fact that he was more than just a mole in Sabine's household. For years, he had been devoting his life to spying on the Lady's affairs and reporting to Matthew. At a recent cusp of the war, however, he suddenly and secretly acted to betray a large group of leeches, Lord Max among them. Something triggered the action, and he felt powerless to resist it. Whenever he thinks about it now, he feels as though it were in fact the right and proper thing to have done. This terrifies him.
