Freelance Werewolf Mercenary
You thought you were human. You were wrong. You were on assignment undercover in Russia when the change came upon you. It was the Russian agent you were tracking that saved you when you went primal in Red Square. Alexei used some sort of "magical" trick to bind you, stopping the bloodshed, and blurring the recollections of the witnesses. You don't remember much afterwards, only that your mindless rage fought free of his influence several times as he was secreting you out of the country. The memories of those unstoppable urges, the lust to kill, still haunt you. Since then you've laid low, avoiding your former government contacts, trying to build up a new identity.
Plot Point: Running from the Law
You know better than to think that you can ever again lead a normal life. The death toll from your initial wolf-out and those shortly after were too high and too visible. Getting caught my the authorities would be a day in the park compared to what they'd do to you if the Agency got their greedy paws on the likes of you. Your only chance to remain free is to go underground and establish a power base. Your old code-name was Shadowfax.
Your Friend/Contact: Alexei Alexandrovich Vronsky
Alexei is the Russian agent who saved your butt. He worked as a stage magician in a night club near Red Square until your incident. Since then you've found out that Alexei's real master is a powerful underworld figure. You also found out that Alexei isn't human either, he's a vampire. Alexei's master is the reason why you've gained the amount of control you have over your wolfen double. When Alexei returned you to the States, he got from his master an amulet which supposedly calms the beast inside you. You don't know about all that mumbo jumbo Alexei keeps spouting, but you do know that as long as you wear it you can somewhat control yourself when the change comes upon you. You've found from experience that going without the amulet is no longer an option, the beast is just too strong for you to control alone.
Your Current Boss: Lord Arturo Vladimir Maximillian Rex
Alexei's master, an underworld boss and a vampire. You don't know much about Lord Arturo, and this makes you uneasy.
Plot Point: Your Current Assignment
Alexei has managed to get you in with his master, Lord Arturo. Yeah, they're vampires, so what, you're a werewolf. Lord Arturo suspects that there is a traitor in his organization. Your job is twofold: (1) Find the traitor, and (2) test the security and loyalty of his organization. Your cover is that you are a new henchman, muscle to beef up security, and possibly being groomed to replace the Lord's recently murdered lieutenant. This last part may become a reality if you work it right. Only Alexei and Lord Arturo know that you are a werewolf.
Your Lost Love: Melody
Several years ago you were involved with a woman named Melody. (She knew you by your real name, Mark.) You were totally smitten, gono, head over heals for her. She was a bit flaky, always being drawn to one new age guru after another, but that wildness and freedom was part of what drew you to her. When she disappeared you were devastated. The police came up with nothing but an abandoned car with her bloodstains on the upholstery. Even your agency contacts came up with nothing. You could have gone mad with grief, but you buried it inside and made the work your life. Now that's gone too. A control freak with nothing left worth controlling.
