You have spent most of your history as a courtier in the most cut-throat households in vampiredom. Now you are a lord with a household of your own. You are determined to craft your household into a lean, mean intrigue machine.
Born and turned in the early 1700's.
Unfortunately, you have an ancient enemy. During your youth in India, while you were still a protégé in your sire's house, an ancient native vampire - Vikram - battled your master. All others in your house were slain in the attack. The ancient has hunted you ever since, but you are clever and deceitful and have avoided detection... until now.
Sire slain in the mid-1800's (Victorian Era / Height of the British Empire).
Your Primary Henchman, Recently Deceased: Fadi
Your primary henchman was just murdered and you just know that your ancient enemy is behind the crime. You fear that he is plotting your destruction and may have an agent in your household. Your enemy is a powerful mage so you fear his main strike at you will be by magical means.
Your Loyal Blood Slave: Mother
Mother is your ghoul and has been with you for a very long time. Your relationship with her is nobody's business. She is completely loyal.
Your Cherished Childe: Valentina
In India your sire was posing as the British ambassador and you as his secretary. The night of the enemy's assault on the British compound you preserved the daughter of a rich noble, thinking that access to her wealth would be useful. She was wounded by one of the enemy's creatures, but even so she was able to staunchly face the port authority and order passage for yourself and her back to England. On the voyage she died and you turned her, for she was had shown herself to be a useful tool. You have come to love her as if she were your true daughter for what she did for you in Indian and her loyalty since... but you are a harsh father. You show your caring for her when you can, but you do not hesitate to discipline her when her weak, feminine sensibilities endangers her own or your survival. You despair that she will ever become the lean, mean survival machine you envision.
Your Apprentice Childe: Alexei Alexandrovich Vronsky
In the early 1900's you ran across this stage magician turned occultist. He was looking for "real" magic, so you signed him on as your apprentice. He has turned into a useful henchman, if not a good mage. You recently sent Alexei to Russia to acquire for you the werewolf secret agent, Hunter.
Your Promising Childe: Reynard
Reynard is a mad genius. He is a sociopath, lacking any true empathy with the rest of humanity. This natural detachment matched with his extreme intelligence, if finely crafted and moulded, will make him an extremely potent tool. Previously he was a ghoul in the household of the minor vampire Dr. Vincent Barlowe. The good Doctor was not a political being, and that caused his death. Reynard's turning was fairly recent, maybe a few weeks ago.
Your New Childe: Melody
Melody was the girlfriend of Hunter. Several years ago you seduced her into your embrace in order to fuck with Hunter. Hunter thinks she was abducted and murdered. To bring her into your influence you offered her the ultimate high, the vampiric experience of passion, love, fear and rage, all beyond the realm of human fulfillment.
Your Hired Help: Hunter
Hunter is a werewolf, but only he, Alexei and yourself know this. You've schemed for years to get this man into your household. He's a government agent with a very useful skill-set, in addition to his werewolf abilities. He would make a formidable lieutenant. You identified him before he awakened and set in motion a plan to bring him into your influence. He was operating in Russia, so you sent your childe Alexei to keep track of him. When Hunter's beastial side eventually awakened, Alexei was there to contain the worst ravages of the change. Alexei smuggled his precious cargo back to the States. Alexei now poses as Hunter's friend, giving him a talisman which helps him control his changes and getting him an "interview" for a job in your organization. You "hired" Hunter and gave him two tasks: (1) Find the traitor in your household, and (2) test the security and loyalty of your retainers. His cover is that he is a new henchman, muscle to beef up security, and possibly a replacement for Fadi. You want to build up trust, find his weaknesses, and find a way to bind him willingly to you. (No magical bindings allowed, werewolves hate that!) You did find one weakness, several years ago Hunter was deeply involved with a woman - Melody - so you faked her disappearance and brought her into your household.
Your Pet Human: Logan
Logan is a gift from your childe Melody. He is a renowned scholar of Indian mysticism. You currently have him under a magical thrall which prevents him from acting against you and speaking too freely with outsiders.
Your Hostage: Joshua Sparrow
Lady Raven is one of your more skilled opponents in the game of political intrigue. Recently you and she agreed on a temporary peace, and her part of the bargain included giving you a hostage to guarantee her good behavior. Joshua is her childe and a mage. You have cast a binding on Joshua which prevents him from using his spellcasting abilities. The spell foci is the tatoo on Valentina.
