The Eaters of the Dead The Eaters of the Dead are an ancient evil which prey upon the vampire race in times of conflict and crisis. Eaters are a variant form of vampire created perhaps by some sort of ritual or infection. They are exceptionally strong and difficult to kill, and once a vampire has been "infected" they loose all previous loyalties and motivations. Eaters are absolutely loyal to their cult and their only desire is to infiltrate and consume all of vampire society. Eater cults grow until they are revealed and destroyed. But because of their natural camouflage and incredible strength, it is very difficult to ferret out and destroy an established Eater hive. It is standard practice within the vampire leadership that if an Eater incursion is discovered, the entire area is cleansed of all vampires in order to contain the Eater threat.
Rumors Where you find one, there's ALWAYS more. They are supernatural creatures that gestate in the bodies of garou; that's what gives them their shapeshifting power. then they feed on vampires. It's just an urban ledgend, deriving from an instance of bad blood infection in 3rd century Turkey. They become psychicaly linked during initiation; what one Eater cult member knows, they all know. They are only a boogeyman hoax invented by the Tyrants, so they can wipe out the politically unpopular. Potential cult members are recruited by an irresistable brainwashing spell. They are finely-made golems created by a secret mage cult to harvest young vampires for spell components. They can cut guns in half with their minds! Eaters can only be harmed by copper. They are Ancient vampires, taking delight in destruction, and feeding on fledglings and lords alike. They are an anarchist cult, kidnapping vampires and sacrificing them to dark gods. The Eater cultists are turned by the application of a parasite in their ear. Vampire victims are dismembered physically and psychically, and then reassembled to create a costume for the infiltrating spies. The Eaters are alien beings that periodically stop here on their journeys for food and supplies. Their biology cannot digest earth life...except for vampires. They are the result of an imperfection in a bloodline, like a genetically inherited disease; the right conditions will set it off and BANG! a whole house will become Eaters of the Dead. They can be identified by sticking a flaming poker through the body; an Eater will melt instead of catching fire. The Eaters of the Dead are really special operatives for the US government, with super technology to hunt vampires. When they are created their internal organs are transformed into a mass of writhing purple worms. They are what happens when a werewolf is possessed by a demon and then turned into a vampire under a dark moon. They have the combined powers of all three, but are bloodbound to their master. |
