Immortals The Basics Pandemonium's Immortals are a rarefied breed. Their attributes and characteristics are drawn from a blend of the Highlander, Chinese and Orlando mythos'. Immortals are living beings born to human parents. They appear to be identical to normal humans until they reach maturity (several years past the end of puberty). It is at that time that their ageing process slows to the equivalent of one year per century and their regenerative abilities manifest. There Can Be Only One Although the "there can be only one" phenomenon among Immortals in western cultures is very strong, it has yet to be proven to be a biological imperative. Immortals from eastern cultures or very early (pre-christian) civilizations tend to treat the phenomenon as a cultural quirk among their foreign fellows. Supporters of "The Prize" theories point to the evidence that the strength of an Immortal increases if she/he properly slays another of his/her kind. Whichever belief system is true, the tradition among Immortals to fight to the death is a dreadfully common reality. How to use your Character's Blood Pool

How Physical Damage affects your Character If you are incapacitated (Brawn Pool to 0) you will loose 1 Blood pt. per minute if you are not treated or healed. Any attack which would result in death for a human (Brawn Pool to 0 + a Killing Blow) causes you to be incapacitated and go into topor (a coma). The only physical attack which can permanently kill you is decapitation followed by the draining of your Psyche Pool to 0.
