New To The Path: Is Witchcraft for Me? - Seeker Questionnaire - Study Grove - Energy Working - Center & Ground - The Chakras - Personal Shields - Charging Objects - Spellcasting 101 - Casting Circles - Tarot Reading - Pendulum Dowsing - Making Altars Introduction To Witchcraft For Those New To The PathThis section is written for those of you who stand trepidaciously at the roadside, wondering if the path of the witch is for you; for those who have stepped upon the path but cannot find the guard rail; and for those special individuals who've been treading it for years, isolated and unguided, not knowing there are others on similar paths with whom they may share and grow. In this section you will find basic concepts explained, things to do and practice, and an introduction to the methods and morals of paganism and witchcraft - Weaver style. The Weaver tradition was not passed down to us as a single, historical tradition, but instead is a fusion of ancient beliefs, universal values, and practical magics, all with our own personal and modern spin. The ideas presented here come from our individual or common experiences and years of research into the spiritual arts of cultures from around the world. Our coven is not attached to or defined by any organized belief system other than our own. (So if you're looking for a Gardnerian High Priestess to initiate you into the 3rd level of the Wooba Wooba Lodge, then you've come to the wrong place.) We welcome and encourage all practitioners and newbies from any tradition or upbringing to take what they can from our offerings. Please remember that we are not gurus. We cannot solve all your problems or reveal to you the One True WayTM. (Especially since there isn't one!) What we can do is offer you tools for engineering change in your own life. Our hope is that the variety in our beliefs and practices displayed here can help you define and explore your own spiritual path.
May all who find rest here grow in light and love. |
